In short

Hadar is a 136-metre motor yacht that Lürssen launched in 2017 as Project Shu and delivered in March 2019 as Flying Fox, to an exterior by Espen Øino and interiors by Mark Berryman (YachtCharterFleet, Boat International). As Flying Fox she was described as the world's largest charter yacht, with two helipads, a 12-metre transverse pool and a 400-square-metre spa on two levels (Boat International, Boat International). After a reported off-market sale in June 2025 to a buyer based in the United Arab Emirates, she spent five months at Lürssen in Hamburg and left in March 2026 with an all-white hull and the name Hadar (YachtBuyer, YachtBuyer). She is now used privately and is no longer offered for charter (YachtCharterFleet).

Questions

Is Hadar the same yacht as Flying Fox?
Yes. The 136-metre Lürssen delivered in 2019 as Flying Fox left a five-month refit in Hamburg in March 2026 under the name Hadar (YachtCharterFleet, Boat International). A different, 74-metre Nobiskrug yacht built in 2012 also carried the name Flying Fox earlier; she is now called Dytan (YachtCharterFleet).
How big is the Hadar (Flying Fox) yacht?
She is 136 metres (446 ft) long with a gross tonnage of 9,022 and a maximum draught of 5.1 metres (Boat International). Lürssen gives her beam as 22.5 metres (Lürssen); Boat International lists 20.5 metres.
Can you still charter Flying Fox?
No. As Flying Fox she was offered for charter and described as the world's largest charter yacht (Boat International), but after the 2025–26 refit and renaming she is used privately and is off the charter market (YachtCharterFleet).
What is on board Hadar?
Two helipads, a 12-metre pool across the aft main deck and a 400-square-metre spa on two levels with a cryosauna (Boat International, Boat International). YachtBuyer also lists a cinema with D-Box motion seats, a gym, a dive centre and a beach club (YachtBuyer).
Who built and designed Hadar?
Lürssen built her in Germany and did the naval architecture; Espen Øino drew the exterior and Mark Berryman designed the interior (Boat International, Lürssen). She was launched as Project Shu in 2017 and delivered in March 2019 (YachtCharterFleet).
Where is Hadar now?
Hyperyachts does not publish live positions. Public AIS trackers list her under IMO 9829394 and MMSI 319133800 (identifiers first published in the U.S. Treasury notice of 2022: Federal Register); one example is MaritimeOptima.
