In short
Al Salamah is a 139.3-metre motor yacht whose hull was built by HDW in Kiel before she was moved to the Lürssen yard in Bremen for completion; she was delivered in 1999 (SuperYacht Times, Boat International). Built under the code name Mipos, she was recognised at delivery as the third-largest yacht in the world, and Terence Disdale designed both her exterior and interior (YachtBuyer, Boat International). With a gross tonnage of 12,234 she is ranked 10th in the world by volume and 18th by length by YachtBuyer, and 19th by length in Boat International's list of the largest yachts (YachtBuyer, Boat International). She sleeps 40 guests in 20 cabins with room for 96 crew, and returned to Lürssen for a refit in 2006–07 that included dry-docking in Bremerhaven (Boat International, SuperYacht Times).
